Our Educational Caregiver Training program is here to help people improve their lives through educating.
Upcoming 2025 Community- Wide Educational Presentations/Session
Topics include

This Session will focus on service and payment options available within the public and private long term care industry. We will help older adults navigate the system, provide resources that are available through WACS and connect people to other local resources including but not limited to; Waseca County elderly wavier programs, and how to pay for long term care services.

>>> The WACS along with the Alzheimer’s Association will be providing an education session of the 10 Early Signs and Symptoms of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

>>> Local store Pharmacist and the WACS are partnering together in conducting an educational session that pertains to health and wellness of caregiver and aging adults. Topics of presentation includes glucose, cholesterol, BMI, blood pressure, shingles, tetanus, and measles.

>>> Mayo Health Systems Waseca, Physical Therapist and the WACS will be partnering together to conduct an educational session for caregivers and aging adults.

* Maximize physical ability * Extend independent living

WACS goal is to encourage family caregiver and aging adults to check in on their health by providing tools and resources to seek care, improve healthy lifestyles, maintain successful habits and to live well while aging in place for as long as possible.
